Who are we?

We are a diverse group of ordinary people of all ages, who seek to grow in our relationship with Jesus, who try to follow Christ’s teaching and example in the whole of our lives, within and beyond our local communities, and who worship God in a variety of styles at our three Church of England Churches:

  • The Church of St Giles and All Saints in Orsett
  • The Church of St Mary the Virgin in Bulphan
  • The Church of St Peter and St Paul in Horndon on the Hill

Each of our churches has a service every week,

Horndon and Bulphan at 9.15am and Orsett at 11am, except on the first Sunday of the month when we all join together at 10am, for a United Benefice service, which rotates around the three churches.

There are also shorter Holy Communion services on Sundays at 8am in Horndon (3rd Sunday) and Orsett (2nd and 4th Sunday).  There are also Holy Communion services at 10am in Horndon on the 1st Thursday and Orsett 3rd Thursday of the month.

Around the Benefice, we have a variety of activities and events for people of all ages.

We would love to meet you.
